GPFL will endeavour to protect their plantations through active and integrated fire management, while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of employees and contractor/s.

GPFL reached the determining point requiring that they from a Forest Industry Brigade as ‘GPFL FIB’ which was approved by CFA in March 2004.

All tree farms are designed to comply with the “Fire Prevention Design Guidelines and Fire risks to Plantations”, and detailed Fire Maps are available on site in designated fire map cylinders.

During the declared Fire Danger Period (from 1^st December to 30^th April, unless otherwise notified) fire breaks will be maintained in the required conditions outlined in our Fire Management Plan, which has been approved and recommended by the Country Fire Authority.
